Made-to-measure marine upholstery in Saint-Jean-de-Losne

Enclosures, biminis, covers and cushions for river and leisure boats. I measure, draw, sew and fit every piece myself.

At the port

I work on board, at the port of Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Other ports are quoted on request.

In the workshop

I make each piece in my workshop, close to Saint-Jean-de-Losne.

Diary

Jobs are booked in slots, up to a year in advance.

What I make

Every piece is drawn from your boat, not from a catalogue.

  • Boat enclosures

Cockpit and helm enclosures on a frame, with flexible clear windows, zips and access panels.

  • Biminis

Stretched tops on a stainless frame, cut for your cockpit or aft deck.

  • Covers

Boat covers, windscreen and superstructure protections, fore-deck covers.

  • Deck canopies

Shelters stretched over a frame for barge and river-boat decks.

  • Cushions and mattresses

Cushions, deck mattresses and seating, cut to the exact shape of the space.

  • Repairs

Zips, seams, clear windows, eyelets and fittings: I put enclosures, biminis and covers back in order.

From measuring to handover

One person at every step, and pieces fitted on your boat before handover.

  1. Talk and measure

I come on board. We talk about how you use the boat, then I take the measurements. For complex shapes, I draw a template directly on the boat.

  2. Patterns and fabrics

I draw the patterns. Together we choose the fabric, colour, windows and fittings.

  3. Quote and slot

The quote is itemised. I book your job slot, up to a year in advance.

  4. Making in the workshop

I cut and sew in the workshop, one piece at a time.

  5. Fitting and handover

I adjust the piece on the boat, then we sign a handover report together.

Work

A selection of finished pieces. Boat names and registration numbers are hidden.

Laetitia fitting a fabric over a bimini frame

One person, from measuring to fitting

I’m Laetitia, a marine upholsterer. I work alone: I’m the one you meet for the measuring, who draws the patterns, sews in the workshop and fits on the boat.

You deal with one person, from the first conversation to the handover.

Describe your boat and what you have in mind. I reply by e-mail.

You can also write to me directly. Attach photos of the boat if you have them, they help a lot for a first estimate.
